Join our Commodities and Global Markets team as a Physical Oil Scheduler/ Logistics Analyst.
Macquarie Commodities Trading is engaged in Crude and Refined Products trading and transportation throughout the Americas and International markets. Macquarie Commodities Trading Operations team is responsible for the physical operations and logistics of a global portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain of physical Crude Oil related movements including logistics of pipeline, waterborne and storage from origin to destination, as well as terminal inventories and logistics management.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include effectively coordinating and managing the physical delivery of oil as well as demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual terms, delivery obligations and operational risks associated within the physical oil space. This includes but not limited to the understanding of credit, market and settlement risks. This will include risk management of contracts and ensuring deal management throughout the deal life cycle adheres to established processes. You will also be expected to facilitate new and effective controls and reporting in customs, insurance and other related logistics disciplines.
You will also be working closely with internal stakeholders and groups on data and management reporting initiatives, insurance & compliance reporting tasks as well as funding management. Strong stakeholder and customer facing skills and an ability to manage on-going projects and business development will be essential in your success.
In this dynamic role, you will build a robust knowledge of deal types within our platform (RightAngle), as well as with its interaction with Macquarie systems and processes, and lastly, how the system interacts when building deals. You will collaborate internally with other support areas in tax, market operations and legal.
This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills, attention to detail, risk mindedness and the ability to multi-task.
