Senior Project Coordinator – Capital and Aggregate Risk Measurement

Join our Aggregate Risk team and play a key role in providing valuable insights across Macquarie’s aggregate risks and financial strength.

The Aggregate Risk team collaborates with a group of global stakeholders, including all of Macquarie’s operating businesses, Risk Management, Group Treasury, Finance, Macquarie’s senior management and the Board, as well as our prudential regulator, APRA.

As a member of the team, you will be supporting the Project Manager with planning, organising, leading, and evaluating the activities of the project teams and driving the accomplishment of all deliverables while maintaining the quality of the project within the scheduled time frame. You will also be involved in identifying, communicating, and managing dependencies and risks and developing and managing project plans / roadmaps, identifying key project activities and resource needs.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project materials and presentations that support transparent communication, buy-in and tracking.
  • Taking responsibility for stages of the project ensuring the overall scope, design and delivery of the project achieves quality outcomes in line with cost and schedule expectations.
  • Contributing to project management and governance activities to ensure the status of the project is clearly communicated and risks/issues/dependencies are appropriately mitigated, escalated, and managed.

To be successful in this role you will also possess proven experience working on projects/programs throughout the project lifecycle (i.e. from inception through to implementation), with an excellent understanding of project management disciplines, tools and frameworks, including governance. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills will see you actively influence, engage, and maintain relationships with a wide stakeholder group. You will also have a proven track record of taking accountability and delivering projects to a high-quality standard & tight schedule with previous experience in Agile and Waterfall ways of working desired.

Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risks across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Credit, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk and Governance, Compliance, Enterprise Support, and Internal Audit.
