Join our Risk Management group in a role that will allow you to grow your skills and experience in Financial Markets and Asset Management. You’ll join the team as a Senior Credit Analyst at Manager/Senior Manager level in Sydney, focusing on Financial Institution clients such as banks, non-bank financial institutions and funds whilst also helping support our financial markets and asset management businesses.
The Credit Department is the credit custodian of Macquarie Group working closely and engaging in ongoing dialogue with senior management and deal teams across all business units to identify relevant credit issues, assess transactions and recommend transactions to senior management for approval. Central to the Credit Department’s operational model is a collaborative approach with business areas. With counterparty analysis a core competency, we build our teams to mirror those of our businesses, industry and geographic lines.
You’ll work closely and collaboratively with a team of senior approvers, management and business stakeholders to manage a portfolio of counterparties, review requests and new transactions. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and work across new products and projects, covering a range of different industries.
Key to the role is learning and taking an active role in the management of our financial markets business and financial counterparties. You will work with other analysts and business stakeholders and then present on the findings to management for approval including opportunities with our Head of Credit and Head of Risk Management.
Preferably you will bring previous experience, ideally in financial markets, with an ability to understand risk, and interpret financial statements.
