Operational Risk Frameworks- Senior Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager / Senior Manager to join a rewarding, innovative and dynamic role in the Operational Risk Frameworks team within the Operational Risk & Governance Division.

The Operational Risk & Governance Division provides the guardrails for effective risk management. We provide guidance to the business to support the management of their material risks, and deliver oversight, assurance, challenge, and insights on Macquarie’s risk profile.​

As a Manager / Senior Manager, you will lead the delivery of ORG ORF’s strategic initiatives, working closely with global stakeholders and senior management across the Three Lines of Defence.

In this role, you will:

  • Govern Macquarie’s Operational Risk Frameworks, leading Operational Risk Management strategic initiatives and organisational embedment.
  • Leverage your subject matter expertise in Risk, Control Management and Assurance to support organisational uplift.
  • Engage with business leaders and risk management peers regarding heightened and emerging Risks and areas of focus.
  • Independently drive outcomes, leading a dedicated, high-performing and hard-working team.

You will have experience in Operational Risk, Internal and/or External Audit gained within an international financial institution and/or professional services firm. Your hands on experience with GRC systems and data analytics, partnered with your strong communication skills; ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders and build effective working relationships, as well as your project management and organisational skills to prioritise and deliver key strategic initiatives, identify dependencies and deliver outcomes to time and quality standards will be vital in this role.

You will have tenacity, agility, and a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment

Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, present new ideas and work both independently as well as collaboratively, a positive and constructive approach to problem solving and a mindset of continuous improvement where you consider opportunities to improve the way we work, in a constructive and insightful manner will be essential in this role.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
