Associate Director | Operational Risk Resilience

Join our second line of defence Operational Risk Resilience team who provide an independent view of Macquarie’s operational risk profile and effect change in operational risk management and culture, through the continual refinement and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

What role will you play?

As a Line 2 risk expert, you will provide specialised advice and oversight across our resilience risk framework, associated policies and implementation of the resilience requirements of CPS230.

You will spearhead collaboration with our central support and business groups and apply your subject matter expertise to their Business Resilience framework and risk practices to ensure they are effectively deployed across the enterprise., You will also ensure risk reviews are conducted to support continuous improvement t, including thematic reviews of issues, incidents, risk profiles and supporting metrics.

Sitting within a broader global Operational Risk team, you will influence other enterprise operational risks and support effective oversight across a range of risk management frameworks.

What you offer

  • Proven experience and understanding of operational resilience and business continuity, with experience in business and tech resilience desirable
  • 10+ years in a control function, assurance, internal or external audit, gained within a dynamic international financial institution, financial services firm or within a professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory environment (including CPS230), commercial experience and analytical mindset to make sound recommendations on business resilience and operational risk issues
  • An inquisitive problems solver with the ability to uncover hidden insights, and form an independent view of the risk profile looking across the organisation.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
