Join our Equities Operations team and be part of the wider global Corporate Operations Group providing support to the Equities trading business in Macquarie Capital. The Equity Operations team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls for equities trading in global markets including trade allocation, booking, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management. The team works in close collaboration with other departments across Corporate Operations, Front Office, Finance and Risk.
In this role, you will be part of the Equities Middle Office team, based in head office in Sydney and will assume a senior leadership role overseeing Commission Sharing (CSA) & Accounts Receivable (AR) operations in support of Macquarie Capital trading. The day-to-day operations are performed in Philippines while this newly created role will closely align with the senior operations leadership team and the front office in Sydney. Commission sharing is whereby clients choose to leverage Macquarie’s global markets access for equities execution but share commission brokerage with research providers.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
You will have a strong knowledge of post trade equities operations in either a middle office or settlements capacity and a strong understanding of control and risk frameworks within banking operations. You are someone who can drive and manage change to successful outcomes and can demonstrate experience in managing senior stakeholders. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and can navigate challenging scenarios and demonstrate ability to identify solutions. Experience in commission sharing and/or accounts receivable would be ideal but is not required.
