Physical Commodities Trader

Join our dynamic and growing Commodities and Global Markets Group as an Operational Risk Senior Manager. Our team consists of Operational Risk specialists, who support our business globally on complex trading risks, to ensure that the key operational risks are being effectively managed and monitored.

What role will you play?

Use your physical commodities trading knowledge and experience as a commodities trader to provide expert advice on front line trading risks. You will support and facilitate the continued improvement of processes, controls and operational risk awareness and culture across our businesses.

As a subject matter expert you will partner with the trading desks and leverage your expertise to develop a comprehensive knowledge of all processes to proactively manage the operational risks. You will provide advice on a broad range of risk matters, assess new product and business initiatives, investigate incidents and test effectiveness of controls.

What you offer

  • At least 5 years work experience in a position related to physical commodities trading, scheduling or logistics or risk management. Operational Risk experience highly regarded
  • High achievement drive, with strong resilience and tenacity
  • A continuous improvement mindset and comfortable interpreting and balancing commercial issues within a risk framework
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with senior business and risk colleagues to drive, challenge, and influence, as well as lead conversations regarding anticipated and emerging issues.
