Data & Technology Risk Management

Are you ready to join a dynamic and global team and support the establishment, execution and improvement of our operational risk processes? We are seeking to appoint a number of Data& Technology Business Operational Risk Managers to support our Technology Division, based in our Sydney offices.

You will work collaboratively with Technology Operational Risk team to ensure technology risks are appropriately addressed and managed in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management framework. You will facilitate the continual improvement of operational risk culture and awareness in Technology and more broadly for our Corporate Operations Group.

You will need to draw on your experience and skills to:

  • use of appropriate technologies and techniques to process and analyse multiple data sources to draw actionable insights
  • draw on your unique combination of natural curiosity, analytical thinking, problem solving, detail focus and adaptability, to identify and report business opportunities
  • present your findings in a clear and simple way for your stakeholders to act on it, mainly through clever visualisations

Previous experience in data analytics roles is essential, with exposure to relevant technology (e.g. SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI). Exposure to programming languages (Python, R) and unstructured data will be beneficial.

You will have the ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the capability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues are essential.  You will be highly motivated and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast paced, enterprise agile environment.
