Senior Equity Research Associate, Ecosystems Research

An opportunity has arisen to join as a Senior Equity Research Associate on our Ecosystem Thematics team. In this role you will have a generalist background and interest in sectors including technology, fintech/ digital payments, e-commerce, gaming, consumer, healthcare, and more.

The role of equity research is evolving rapidly, and Macquarie is at the forefront of producing deep-dive, high conviction, thematic reports focusing on the next big investment opportunities on a global basis.

Joining one of our top performing teams, you will be a part of daily dialogue with Fortune 500 companies as well as emerging private companies looking to disrupt the landscape. You will provide industry and company analysis, data analysis, financial modelling, written content, and database support to the Senior Analyst. You will also be involved in broader industry opportunities.

To be successful, you will have:

  • 4+ years’ experience within Equity Research, and/ or experience with read-across to international markets (Asia), and in the context of domestic sectors
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, actuarial sciences quantitative or similar discipline. CPA or CFA a plus but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write at a professional level and communicate ideas succinctly
  • Exceptional data analysis and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in financial valuation and statistics.

Salary Range

Salary range for this position: $153,000 - $192,500/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
