Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) - Private Markets (Real Assets, Real Estate and Private Credit) is seeking an experienced Tax specialist to join our Luxembourg-based team. The role offers a high level of responsibility to the successful candidate, being embedded within Private Markets’ business and working across a broad spectrum of tax matters in support of transactional and ongoing business activities.
Your responsibilities will extend across tax compliance, reviewing a mix of corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing reports, and working closely with other members of the Private Markets’ tax team (in particular, with two senior tax team members based in Luxembourg and other tax team members in London) to deliver transaction tax structuring advice and tax planning, pre- and post- transactions. You will also be required to liaise with, and coordinate, local services providers including administrators and tax advisors, to deliver the tax requirements for the production of financial statements, monitoring and reporting of relevant tax law changes, and where necessary, handling tax authority audits.
You will have at least 4 years of experience in international and Luxembourg taxation and an understanding of, and interest in, tax structuring and hold a degree or an equivalent certification in Tax law. You will be fluent in English (with language skills in German and/or French considered as an asset) with the ability to interact effectively with contacts both within and outside Macquarie at various seniority levels.
You have intermediate or advanced skills on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. You are highly organised with the ability to work independently and pro-actively as well as within a team. You will need to be able to manage multiple work streams in parallel against deadlines.
