Responsibilities

At NISA, we are transforming how we deliver people solutions to our growing business and we need a unique talent to help us deliver.  When we hire into the human resources team at NISA, we look for collaborative, lifelong learners, who are intellectually curious, infinitely passionate, systems thinkers who enjoy building and delivering what they design.  Our team is a rare opportunity to contribute to a shared vision, bring it to life, optimize it, and ensure it continues to meet the needs of our business.  If you get excited about touching, and learning, all areas of human resources and the business, this role might be for you.

Specifically, in this role, we need someone who brings two primary capabilities: 1) expertise in leveraging various listening channels to internalize and guide engaging employee experiences at every touch, and 2) someone who can balance that against our business needs to optimally manage employee relations on a case-by-case basis.  Under your guidance, we will continue to deliver seamlessly, compliantly, at the moment of need, and enhance the employee experience in all that we do.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Apply systems thinking, employee experience, an optimization mindset, and DEI to all related work
  • Build, maintain and leverage an employee experience listening ecosystem, acknowledging diverse experiences (internal and external surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.)
  • Lead employee relations and related case management, demonstrating both care and acumen, partnering closely with internal and external counsel, business leaders and the Chief People Officer
  • Advise, influence and support supervisors in employee relations best practices, collaborating with HR partners and business leaders to sustain strengths and/or address gaps
  • Support and reinforce the organization’s culture and values, in addition to supporting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and practices
  • Inform the design and governance of people-related policies, with accountability for interpretation and enforcement
  • Collaborate with HR and IT partners to drive automation where it provides optimization
  • Manage projects to on-time, on-purpose delivery, as needed
  • Build out our related vendor landscape, ensuring constant availability of capable partners
  • Maintain willingness to grow by contributing to the work of all areas of human resources and the business
  • Proactively maintain knowledge of current employment law landscape, external trends and best practices
  • Other responsibilities as requested, expected, or desired (you will grow at NISA!)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years related overall experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Employee Relations in Missouri
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with surveys and/or other employee listening tools
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and practices; including but not limited to FLSA, OSHA, INA, Work Comp, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.
