A newly created opportunity now exists for a self-motivated HR Data Analyst to join the HR Operations Team in our Sydney Office, all whilst being mentored and developed technically by our Senior Data Scientist in the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As the HR Data Analyst, you will work under the guidance of our Senior Data Scientist. You’ll partner with HR and IT Enterprise teams to create valuable dashboards, reporting and analysis across the lifecycle of Recruitment and HR processes and systems to:

  • Partner with other key stakeholders to develop specific reports and pull specific data relating to key challenges to meet the demands of the business
  • Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns relating to key workforce indicators in complex datasets
  • Support internal employee performance calibrations and internal variable pay analysis
  • Support market remuneration benchmarking initiatives including survey submissions and results analysis
  • Combine data from internal and external systems to provide meaningful analysis
  • Learn to operate our HR and Recruitment systems in order to extract relevant reports for further analysis

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Optiver needs our next HR Data Analyst to be someone with:

  • An analytical mindset and excited about working with data
  • Strong Excel skills, with particular emphasis on data cleaning and manipulation
  • Experiences with statistical programming languages such as MATLAB, R, Stata and Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, statsmodel, etc.) would be advantageous although not essential
  • Experience in metrics and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work well under pressure
  • Solutions focused, problem solver
  • Ability to pivot quickly between different approaches when tackling new projects without established methodologies
  • Attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities
  • Can work autonomously and show initiative
  • Experience in a HR team or with Remuneration Frameworks would be great but isn’t essential
