WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the firm's adherence to regulatory requirements, policies, and best practices in the dynamic and complex field of global trading.

You will possess strong knowledge of relevant trading regulations for key APAC markets, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.  You will report into the Head of Compliance Australia. 

  • Act as a strategic Compliance advisor to senior leadership and the business, providing guidance aligned with regulatory expectations and the firm’s risk appetite.
  • Support the execution of the APAC Compliance strategy locally by delivering advisory services, conducting risk assessments, leading training initiatives, developing policies and procedures, and implementing effective controls.
  • Lead the Compliance review of new business initiatives to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in strategic and new business working groups, offering proactive Compliance input.
  • Liaise with local regulators as required.
  • Collaborate closely with APAC Compliance teams to drive regional initiatives, ensuring alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organization.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Compliance function by identifying and implementing opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking an experienced and senior subject matter expert Compliance Officer to join our global trading firm.  You will possess strong knowledge of relevant trading regulations for key APAC markets, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 7+ years of Compliance experience within the trading industry, with extensive support provided to trading desks.
  • Deep understanding of trading regulations impacting global market makers, with strong knowledge of APAC regulatory expectations and market structures.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing Compliance programs, policies, and controls.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, capable of interpreting complex regulatory requirements and delivering practical, risk-aligned solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership through previous experience leading teams, projects, or strategic initiatives, with a focus on stakeholder influence and outcome delivery.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage confidently with business stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Committed to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all Compliance responsibilities.
