ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Tech Specialist on the risk team, you will own the tech stack that powers our portfolio analysis and risk management, from our data pipelines to user facing applications. You’ll leverage your technical skills, analytical mindset, and ability to anticipate team needs before they emerge. Collaborating with traders, portfolio managers, and technology teams, you’ll have the opportunity to truly drive impact and contribute to the company’s long-term success.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain risk management tools using Python and SQL

  • Perform statistical analysis to assess potential risks and make actionable recommendations 

  • Work closely with trading teams and portfolio managers to help monitor their risk efficiently 

  • Generate insights from large datasets to support decision-making 

  • Identify and escalate potential technical needs before they become significant issues

  • Assist in implementing policy and process improvements across the organization that align with our risk culture  

About You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

  • Series 57 license will be required in the first month.  Series 24 license will be required within the first year

  • 3+ years of prior work experience in software engineering, data analysis, or a similar role

  • You have technical work experience and want to move into a market facing role or you are already employed in finance but have exceptional technical knowledge

  • Expertise in Python and SQL

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, modeling techniques, and data visualization tools 

  • Forward-thinking, with a keen eye for identifying and preempting potential risks

  • Solid communication skills to clearly articulate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders

  • High level of curiosity and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location. This position also may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a range of health & wellness benefits, enhancing your overall compensation package.

Base Salary Range

$64,000-$80,000
