ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director (SaaS) to join our growing team. This role will serve as a pivotal go-to-market position focused on growing our current offerings while identifying and driving new business initiatives for our software-as-a-service (SaaS) division within Apex. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, and proactive leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial services, investment management, and software, with a proven ability to articulate the Apex value proposition both now and in the future. Collaboration across departments is essential for converting leads and expanding our sales pipeline.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end business development process from lead generation to deal closure. 

  • Formulate and implement strategies to identify and engage potential clients who can benefit from our solutions. 

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with prospective clients, facilitating introductions and securing strategic meetings. 

  • Efficiently utilize CRM systems (Salesforce) to log detailed prospect interactions and monitor pipeline progression. 

  • Develop and refine ideal client profiles through comprehensive market analysis. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product and marketing, to develop new products and create go-to-market materials. 

  • Provide ongoing feedback to leadership on market trends, lead generation effectiveness, and areas for growth. 

  • Be accountable for achieving growth targets and delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs). 

Education and/or Experience

  • College degree in related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, with significant experience in financial services, investment management, and software. 

  • Familiarity with Cost Basis, Tax Reporting, and/or Portfolio Management systems is a plus. 

  • Demonstrated track record of driving growth and developing new business lines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong strategic and analytical thinking, adaptable in a dynamic market. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. 

  • Proven leadership ability, with the capability to collaborate across departments and influence at all levels. 

  • Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities. 

  • Proficient in CRM software, ideally Salesforce, for managing and tracking sales opportunities. 

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a hybrid, office environment.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%), depending on business requirements and client meetings.

Salary Range

$154,880-$193,600

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
