ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist (Margins & Cashiering) to fulfill a pivotal position within our Cashiering Department, leading the efficient execution of cashiering operations in our clearing firm. This role demands a deep commitment to ownership, accountability, and expertise to consistently uphold our high standards, particularly in managing checks, wires, and ACH transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Guide the daily operations of cashiering processes, prioritizing accuracy and timeliness in transaction handling.

  • Checks, Wires, and ACHs Oversight: Take full responsibility for all aspects of checks, wire transfers, and ACH transactions, ensuring flawless operation while maintaining compliance with regulatory norms.

  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to optimize current workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all operations meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and clients to resolve issues, provide clarity, and ensure top-tier service.

  • Risk Management: Proactively monitor operational processes to identify and mitigate potential risks, focusing on checks, wires, and ACH transactions.

  • Team Development: Mentor junior staff, lead training programs, and promote a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive operational reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and actionable insights.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) required

  • 5+ years of experience in cashiering operations, with strong expertise in checks, wires, and ACHs within a clearing firm environment.

  • FINRA Series SIE, 99, and 7 licenses required (or willingness to obtain)

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry and its regulatory framework.

  • Proficiency in cashiering software, tools, and technological systems.

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership qualities coupled with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to excel under pressure and tackle complex operational challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.

  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring precision and efficiency in all tasks.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a hybrid, office environment.
