ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Operations Specialist (Banking) is a critical role in our Banking Department, entrusted with spearheading the smooth execution of banking operations within the clearing firm. The individual will embody a profound sense of ownership, accountability, and expertise, ensuring that our standards of operational excellence are consistently met, especially in the areas of checks, wires, and ACHs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Core Operations: Perform day-to-day banking operations, emphasizing accuracy and promptness in processing transactions.
Checks, Wires, and ACHs Oversight: Assume complete ownership and accountability for all operations related to checks, wire transfers, and ACH transactions, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to regulatory standards.
Process Enhancement: Pinpoint and implement refinements to current operational workflows to boost efficiency.
Regulatory Adherence: Guarantee operations are in line with industry protocols, regulatory demands, and company policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, external entities, and clients to clarify inquiries, address issues, and guarantee exceptional service delivery.
Risk Management: Proactively monitor and analyze operations to pinpoint and nullify potential risks, especially in the areas of checks, wires, and ACHs.
Performance Reporting: Generate and present detailed operational analyses to senior leaders, emphasizing metrics, challenges, and actionable insights.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent prior experience) required
2+ years of prior work experience
Experience in banking operations, with a pronounced emphasis on checks, wire transfers, and ACHs within a clearing firm setting, preferred
FINRA SIE and Series 99 License(s) required (or willingness to obtain)

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Strong understanding of custody and clearing operations, financial markets, and regulatory environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
