ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Data Analyst at Apex Fintech Solutions you are free to explore unique solutions and try fresh ideas that will benefit our financial services business or their clients. You’ll collaborate with Apex's sharpest minds to use data to drive business decision making. The role will drive the advancement of business intelligence within the firm and address the analytical needs of
internal teams at Apex Fintech Solutions such as operations, sales, marketing, business units, and technology teams. The idea candidate should have experience in leveraging tools for utilizing data to make data-informed decisions and drive action across the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities
Apply analytical reasoning to understand the needs of stakeholders, generate requirements, and develop new or improve existing processes individually or by partnering with various teams
Design, develop, document, test, and maintain dashboards, queries and reports to highlight trends for new and existing KPIs
Respond to data requests from internal stakeholders by designing, developing, documenting, and validating SQL queries for completeness and accuracy
Build scalable solutions for operational, reporting, and analytical data needs
Innovate on new ways to access information and methods for analyzing data
Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate business problems, risks, and opportunities
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure the quality of data products
Continuously gain a deeper understanding of the data to understand downstream effects
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent related experience) required
5+ years professional experience in Data/Business Analyst roles, preferably in financial services
3+ years SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with transactional and relational databases to assemble and analyze complex data from multiple sources
2+ year of experience with a business intelligence tool such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to research and analyze raw data to identify data-related issues and provide solutions to improve data quality
Ability to develop credibility and build partnerships with key contacts across the organization to facilitate efficiency, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for cross collaboration
Familiarity with project management and documentation tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
Strong analytical mind-set with an ability to identify, interpret, and visualize the patterns in datasets to tell the story behind the data
