The Macro Middle Office trade processing and position team is responsible for systems that process trade executions into position keeping systems, and to maintain and automate those systems. The systems support a wide range of financial products and asset classes including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and credit. The team is global with personnel and service providers located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
What you’ll do
You will use your software development experience and ingenuity to develop trade booking and transaction flow technologies that advance the performance of applications and tools that are essential to the success of our business. You’ll join our Macro Technology team working with and learning from seasoned experts in supporting this complex business. You can’t know everything – but you will use your curiosity and inquisitiveness to discover new ways to improve our products and grow your skills along the way. In this role, you will:
- Write code in Java or C# to advance our trade capture systems, automate business processes, and develop low latency solutions to facilitate near real-time post trade reporting
- Document cohesive workflows and requirements
- Contribute to overall solutions as per project deliverables
- Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables as well as participate in formal release cycles (QA/UAT)
What’s required
- 3+ years of Java and/or C# programming experience. Willingness to work with both.
- Experience creating and working with APIs in REST, gRPC, WCF and similar technologies
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka, Solace, ActiveMQ
- Interest in finance required; experience with financial transactions processing systems, or similar, preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of improving the stability and scalability of software solutions, simplifying technology, and design thinking
- Expertise in the software development life cycle (Agile) and software development tools
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
