We dive deep into our investment teams’ needs, our execution and financing requirements, and the constraints and priorities of our banking counterparts. What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Broker Strategy Analyst to help manage the Firm’s sell side relationships in the APAC region, partnering across our teams to craft and implement counterparty relationship strategy. In this role, you will collaborate internally with the Firm’s investment and trading teams in the region, and broader Treasury, Compliance, and Broker Strategy teams globally, to understand Point72’s requirements. You will also be instrumental in understanding the constraints, priorities, and capabilities of our external partners. Success means bringing this information together to craft and deliver firm-wide and region-specific messages to our counterparties, with the result of maximizing the long-term value of these partnerships. Specifically, you will:

  • Assist the APAC Broker Strategy team, including the regional Head, managing all sell side counterparty relationships in APAC, on a firm-wide, cross-product basis
  • Build upon and develop new broker and existing broker relationships to ensure optimal service levels and access best-in-market capabilities and products
  • Implement data, process, and reporting improvements in collaboration with the Treasury team
  • Evaluate sell side resources consumed by the Firm in support of the Asia business
  • Utilize, leverage, and develop key reporting metrics to evaluate our counterparties’ ability and effectiveness in delivering resources to our Firm
  • Work with regional and global leadership to facilitate an effective balance of payments with the Firm’s sell side partners, including collation and provision of qualitative and quantitative feedback, within a structured process 
  • Discover new value-add opportunities from the sell side community for the Firm, across research, trading, financing, and general market access
  • Collate specific counterparty feedback and assist in planning for holistic Broker Strategy reviews within the market in efforts to promote the firm to the larger broker community
  • Collaborate closely with the global Broker Strategy team and senior management on strategy, process, and execution
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure highest level of ethics, integrity, and compliance at all levels

 

What’s required

We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is analytically driven and intellectually curious. Someone who will step into this role and help spearhead innovative strategies and help promote and foster the Firm’s culture.

  • 2+ years of experience with a good understanding of the hedge fund industry with experience in Broker Relations/Corporate Access Broker Strategy/PB Financing
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong team player who can work independently with excellent program-solving and decision-supporting abilities in a fast pace and entrepreneurial environment
  • Understanding of Asia market structure across the sell side as it pertains to hedge funds
  • Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), industry systems, and a demonstrated aptitude to learn new systems (Alteryx)
  • Broad base of existing relationships with the Firm’s sell side counterparts will be helpful
