Summary
The Software Engineer, Execution Services will work in the Equity Technology department in the Trading Technology team (Execution Services). This position will enhance trading systems and work within the team to deliver new business initiatives and technology for internal clients.

As a Software Engineer, Execution Services, you will work in the Equity Technology department on the Trading Technology team (Execution Services). Trading Technology is a part of the wider Equities Technology group that also includes Research Tools, Portfolio Management Technology, and Compliance Technology. Trading Technology supports global trading and order management systems.
What you’ll do
As a software engineer, you will enhance trading systems and work within the team to deliver new business initiatives and technology for internal clients including systematic portfolio managers, the internal algorithmic trading team, and Compliance. You’ll work closely with other Technology teams including product and support to understand end user requirements and needs and build out web services and applications designed to meet those needs. More specifically, you will:
- Work with your colleagues on the Trading Technology team to extend the capabilities of existing trading systems, as well as build new services and applications
- Design and develop REST/WS APIs
- Develop front ends, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
- Work with various streaming technologies to process large data sets
- Develop close working relationships and collaborate with other technology teams to deliver cross-departmental initiatives
- Collaborate with QA and support teams to deliver the highest quality products to our clients
What’s required
- 5+ years of experience with core Java/Kotlin development
- 3+ years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
- 3+ years of experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
- Network programming experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
