Operational Risk and Business Resilience Manager
Summary
The Operational Risk team is looking to add a professional with a demonstrated track record of top performance to support the implementation of strategic priorities in the firm’s Asia Pacific offices and across all business lines.

The Operational Risk team at Point72 is responsible for identification, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk across the firm. Our growing team evaluates and strengthens the firm’s operational risk profile through execution of cross-functional initiatives and supports the strategic growth process of the firm relating to business continuity and operational risk. The group reports to the Head of Operational Risk and ultimately the Chief Administrative Officer and engages with other senior leaders to highlight and make recommendations to mitigate risks associated with internal and external opportunities. We also partner closely with other risk-minded colleagues on business continuity and resilience, enterprise risk, and business process reengineering activities.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will promote operational resilience across our Asia-Pacific offices. You will report to the global Operational Risk team, work closely with the Asia regional management and other global support functions, and make recommendations to senior management. Specifically, you will:
Business Resilience / Continuity Management
- Maintain Asia-Pacific region business recovery plans and procedures; review, revise, and expand existing plans and protocols
- Provide training and guidance to and manage the efforts of regional and departmental BCP coordinators and critical staff in the development, implementation, and testing of recovery procedures for key areas of the organization
- Identify and implement effective recovery procedures for the restoration of key corporate resources and resumption of critical business processes in the event of a partial or full loss of firm infrastructure
- Conduct region specific risk assessments with APAC based departments and functions, analyzing potential business impact of unexpected interruptions
Operational Risk Management
- Assess and report on key region-specific risks, including agreed mitigation strategies, and advise senior management on appropriate risk management options
- Provide oversight of remediation initiatives
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, especially for Point72 international entities in Asia
Business Process / New Activity Reviews
- Develop and maintain tools, risk register, processes, and key risk indicators to monitor changes in the likelihood and impact of risks
- Assist with new initiatives in firm Asia Pacific offices
- Support other team members in their efforts pertaining to business resilience / operational risk management
What’s required
We’re looking for a professional with a high degree of motivation, an analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced environment. Specifically, you will:
- Have at least 5 to 7 years of work experience in a financial institution or consulting firm and knowledge of the asset management and hedge fund industry
- Be inquisitive and analytical with the ability to gather and synthesize information to draw fact-based conclusions and recommendations
- Be process oriented with the ability to break down larger processes into their component steps and have the technical capability to learn / understand the role of technology throughout the business
- Effectively communicate to engage with senior internal clients and provide synthesized and clear recommendations to leadership
- Be well organized and able to manage competing priorities
- Be a team player and natural collaborator who celebrates shared successes
- Show attention to detail in your work
- Have excellent presentation building and delivery skills
