The Role

Do you want to join the number one global Lubricants supplier in the world and be part of the team delivering market leading products and services which delight our customers in over 100 countries across every sector?

Where you fit in

Shell’s Downstream business makes, moves, trades and sells petroleum-based products for domestic, industrial and transport use all over the world. Downstream keeps our customers, and society, moving; Downstream touches almost every aspect of modern life. We are reshaping Downstream to be more competitive, resilient and relevant in a low-carbon future. As part of Reshape, ‘Global Lubricants’ and ‘Sectors and Decarbonisation’ (which were earlier parts of Global Commercial) are being established as two separate Classes of Business (CoBs) in Downstream.

Shell Lubricants is the global number one player for the last 14 years. We sell about 5 billion litres of lubricant every year, having a footprint in more than 100 countries. One in nine machines operate with a Shell lubricant and we want that to be one in seven! Sectors and Decarbonisation will integrate Shell’s products and services for specific industry segments to create customer value and assist our customers to reduce their carbon footprints. In addition to our existing Aviation, Marine, Bitumen and Sulphur businesses, new segments have been created for Commercial Road Transport, Agriculture and Forestry, Construction and Roads, Low Carbon Fuels and Emerging Sectors. We will position Shell through the energy transition as the world leader in carbon management and drive change across each industry segment!  This organisation also delivers Shell’s Customer Fulfilment activities (order, billing and support) across all our business customers.

In the Information and Digital Technology (IDT) organisation, both CoBs will be supported by one team led by a common IDT General Manager. Information and Digital Technologies are pivotal to the growth and net carbon reduction aspirations of both these organisations. This team will aim to leverage technology to provide more digital services and new business models to our customers, complementing our physical products. Never has there been a more exciting time to be an IDT professional within Sectors and Decarbonisation and Global Lubricants.
