Volume Analyst, Settlements

The Role

What’s the role?

The role is first point of contact for gas suppliers and clients seeking for support in settlements or back office related subjects. The work is carried out using IT systems such as Endur, Salesforce, Spotfire, and SAP. Continuous Improvement is a core function of the team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage settlements performance and assure the successful implementation of settlements process to new contracts.
  • Responsible for the execution of billing processes and payment of natural gas marketing contracts such as sales, gas purchase and transportation though a third party.
  • Responsible for the quality assurance for all fiscal invoices received and issued by SEBG.
  • Engages and cooperates with stakeholders throughout entire organization and with external parties for problem solving and to assure end-to-end settlements processes are working well and communication between areas is fluid.
  • Work together with scheduling team to assure the accuracy of all ends of month reports from the counterparties.
  • Work integrated to Tax, Legal, finance, treasury, commercial, scheduling among others to assure all settlements related activities.
  • Responsible for the settlements and volumes input in the trading system, assuring all information related to volumes, prices, tariffs and penalties are accurate.
  • Responsible for the conciliation between financial settlements and trading system.
  • Business focal point for settlements Records Management, Data Quality, Data Privacy and Data Security in the E2E process for gas contracts.
  • Always comply with Shell Policies and Rules and guarantee 100% of mandatory training
  • Continuous Improvement is a core function of the team.

What we need from you?

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Previous 2 year experience in the settlements or Gas market is required;
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate concisely and clearly to build the trust of the stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and teamwork mindset
  • Continuous improvement experience and mindset
  • Position based in São Paulo-SP
