Market Risk is an integral part of Shell's trading & supply organization, working to protect the value and manage risk. The Market risk Operations Organization is a team of >100 colleagues providing accurate risk measurement, deal valuation, exposure reporting and price validation for Shell trading business supported by timely and insightful analysis. Within the Market risk Operations, a team of process experts are accountable for documenting, defining, monitoring, and improving the process operating model (process, systems, data) to achieve the required Marker Risk Operations goals. It includes designing complex process improvements and ensuring a fit- for-purpose controls framework.
Accountabilities
The Senior Process Expert Market Risk will focus on the following deliverables:
Design and document Risk Management processes to ensure exposure, trading risks, FEV and returns are fully understood, captured and challenged where necessary
Develop and establish Standard operating procedures (SOPs) which allow Market Risk operations to deliver with a word-class risk reporting framework
Develop deep business knowledge to document step-in and step-out procedures by an understanding of how potential improvements, new business/risk models or system changes will impact Market Risk Operation processes
Establish, record and document a fit-for-purpose controls framework to manage Risk and report for Market Risk Operations as deemed necessary
Document clear KRAs for Market Risk operations and record the delivery of KPIs to demonstrate business objectives effectively.
Develop a learning and development framework (process competency development framework) for the Market Risk Operations organization
Driving complex improvements, influencing business partners to address feeder process issues, eliminating manual workarounds, and leveraging automation
The role requires a person who has strong collaboration and analytical skills
Must be able to demonstrate creativity in problem-solving
