The Role

What is the role

You will be part of the Trading & Supply Products organization which is at the heart of Shell’s Downstream business. T&S Products exists as the integrator with the rest of Shell PLC to enable stronger E2E value delivery. We do so through managing and optimizing the physical supply chain as well as creating value though proprietary trading. Working closely with our partner businesses, we create more integrated value for Shell by maximizing the overall value potential across different lines of business and portfolios by delivering the right product to the right place on time at the maximum margin potential.

As the Supply Coordinator, you will be accountable to drive operational improvement initiatives in support of the US/Mexico Products Supply organization.  This is inclusive of operational excellence initiatives to support the needs of the base business as well as identifying and delivering the needs of new business initiatives, particularly around renewables and the energy transition. 

You will be empowered to:

  • Develop & deliver US/Mexico Products Supply digital needs and systems priorities
  • Support the US/MX Products Supply team by delivering critical business projects
  • Work across Shell’s classes of business and functions to identify and deliver operational process improvements for the business

Your Accountabilities:

  • Business lead/Subject Matter Expert for the United States and Mexico Products Supply digital initiatives where you will take a lead role in driving delivery of discrete digital & systems initiatives from ideation through to delivery
  • Interface with adjacent business units and functions to drive improvement initiatives in support of our base business and support development of new business models associated with delivering Shell’s commitment to the energy transition
  • Drive Operational Performance Improvement initiatives including but not limited to:
    • Transfer Price Assurance – includes process improvements, assisting/leading in conflict resolution, quality control checks and reviews to ensure accuracy and or catching errors, requests, inquiries, and maintenance
    • Products Master Reference Data – central support to Channel Optimization Analysts to drive improvement and implementations of new material setup (i.e. bio blends), extension to new plants, etc.
    • Demand Forecast Reviews (alignment sessions) – would be first stop for mobility prior to engaging the Channel Optimizers and provide relevant data as to how this could impact inventory positions
    • Provide business input and coaching to Shell Back Office support staff based in Manila
  • Drive improvements of S&OP Step 5 (Supply Plan Management Review) inclusive of agreement on cross business KPIs and reporting
  • Support Supply Channel Optimizers in projects associated with S&OP Step 1 (New Activities) to establish new or improved supply chains, including enhanced renewable fuels offers to marketing customers
  • Accountable for establishing a sustainable Channel Optimization analyst back up / relief program
  • Provide backup to the Envelope Planner role

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and drive continuous improvement through influence
  • Strong planning and analytical skills (including Excel / Database mining skills)
  • Excellent organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good sense for critical prioritization
  • Contributes fully to the work of teams
