Where you fit in

You will be part of Shell’s Information and Digital Technology (IDT) - Software Engineering team, where innovation of middleware technologies and integrating systems is at the heart of the team. You will take on an essential role in owning the design and development of technical solutions meeting the IT project needs of the business. The team works collaboratively on multiple projects in their pipeline mostly in Azure Integration Services. This such a great avenue to advance your expertise in Software Engineering as you will join a growing global data science organization spanning both on/offshore delivering solutions.

What’s the role

As a Software Engineer-Endur, you will join one of several Agile teams. Each team is responsible for the development and maintenance of one or more ETRM feature areas. Feature areas will be aligned to a specific commodity (Power, Gas or Environmental Products) and/or a specific functional area (for example, Front, Middle or Back-Office).

Agile DevOps teams will follow CI/CD practices and be responsible for features from inception, through development to deployment, operations and support. A sense of team ownership and empowerment will be fostered.

The role offers the candidate the opportunity to participate in the growing Trading and Supply businesses. There will be many ‘new’ and ‘first’ for the candidate to be part of. The role is responsible for working with business and IT to deliver solutions in projects or enhancements for the business needs.

What you will bring

You will have experience supporting a variety of application landscapes, including change management, application testing, data integrity management, patch management, and end-user support and training. You will have expert level experience successfully providing application support / development in a corporate setting.

What we need from you

•     Typical Years of Experience: 8 to 10 years of corporate IT experience with a focus in ETRM/CTRM

•     Minimum Education or Certification: Engineering Degree or any courses related to IT

•     Functional and Technical Experience with OpenLink Endur (v11+)

•     Endur development using JVS and OpenComponents

•     Experience with developing solutions using Java, .Net, Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL

•     In-depth knowledge of Endur’s database schema and ability to write/tune SQL and must have experience with utilizing and implementing Endur’s Trade Process Management (TPM)

•     Experienced with utilizing and implementing Connex, Grid Enabled Scripts, and Operation Services

Good to have

  • Understands mature software design/architectures, software quality management and coding standards
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure DevOps tools (such as VSTS and GIT)
  • Able to manage multiple delivery priorities and multiple demand requests
