Where you fit
As Associate IT Advisor – Cloud you will join a dynamic team established in Bangalore to offer in-house cloud platform engineering. You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the cloud platform engineering from a life cycle perspective. This includes the development and sustenance of cloud platform automation, configurations, and code to provide secure and reliable Enterprise Cloud service for Shell.
What’s the role?
As the Associate IT Advisor, you will support the planning, development and use of middleware technologies and services for integrating systems and exposing, transporting and consuming data in a secure and reliable manner across a hybrid of applications, services and trading partners both on-premises and in the Cloud.
Additional accountabilities are as follows:
Develop server less solutions for cloud platform automation independently
Development of Azure ARM templates, PowerShell DSC
Deployment, provisioning, and life cycle management of Azure services such as Azure VMs, Storage, networks etc.
Enabling DevOps through Platform Automation. Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps (CI/CD), Azure Automation configuration, server less development
Required to work in a team closely with project delivery/operations, suppliers /partners, and functional teams (Product Owner, Architecture, IRM, etc.) to deliver tangible outcomes and deliverables for the Automation work-stream in terms of creating repeatable best practices/processes, advising new technology trends and developing reusable automation artefacts for consumerization.
Enable, drive and lead initiatives focusing on establishing and embedding cloud architecture & design governance across the organization and promoting Agile and DevOps ways of working
What we need from you:
Thorough knowledge of Azure cloud platforms IAAS, PaaS
Developing cloud automation scripts and deployment artefacts spanning the development and operations of cloud-based solutions
Minimum 3 years of experience working with Microsoft REST APIs, Azure PowerShell & Azure CLI
Strong knowledge of Runbook/ PowerShell scripts and ARM templates to automate the provisioning and deployment process
Management, deployment, and configuration of reporting solutions on Azure Cloud
Create and manage operational dashboards, widgets, views, and reports
Management of tagging standards, reporting integration and documentation
Hands-on experience with DevOps, Infrastructure automation and Configuration Management tools (IaC) and Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring tools –
Strong Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, and Terraform. Kubernetes
Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Knowledge of Agile and SAFE methodology
Knowledge of Nagios, Grafana, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible
Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools within the Microsoft Azure environment
Ability to operate in a global, virtual cross-cultural organization, working in different time zones
Strong knowledge of Public, Private & Hybrid Cloud Security & Compliance best practices
Strong Analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
