Sr. EDI Analyst - Integration Specialist

The Role

Where you fit in

The Senior EDI Analyst – Software Engineer works to deliver EDI connections between Shell and our Trading Partners. Our EDI landscape covers most businesses in Downstream that deal with B2B order fulfillment.

What's the role

Primary responsibilities will include managing external resource allocation, requirement gathering for new connections and providing consultancy on the most suitable integration solution. Specifying message formats, fields and mappings and working with our EDI provider OpenText to deliver secure, reliable and efficient integrations. Good stakeholder management and communications skills will be key as you will be working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to scope, define, test and deliver new EDI connections and platform migrations.

Further responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure optimal resource allocation of external EDI resources.
  • Provide expert analysis on new business models, integration options and advise on capabilities of EDI on the various technology platforms.
  • Scope, design and document new EDI connections.
  • Liaise between OpenText, Shell Business stakeholders and Trading partners to co-ordinate the configuration, testing and deployment of EDI connections.
  • Support the migration of legacy EDI connections to the new OpenText Trading Grid platform.
  • Excessive stakeholder management particularly with Internal Shell business, and Primary banks.
  • Provide support to SOM and OpenText.

What we need from you

Must have:

  • 10+ years of total experience with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in integration technologies.
  • Good understanding of different EDI technologies including ANI platform, ALLOY, GXS and OpenText Trading Grid.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience: Building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Good Understanding of the Order to Cash business flow.
  • Mapping experience on EDI tool and messages.
  • Understanding of GSAP in the context of supporting B2B businesses.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written specifications/documentation.

Good to have:

  • Knowledge on XML EDI formats (PAIN & CAMT messages), SAP IDOCs, Edifact EDI and Flat files.
  • Knowledge of Azure Integration Services, Mulesoft, Biz-talk.
  • Good Business Analyst skills.
  • Languages – Java, Unix.
