The Role

What's the Role?

The Operations Landscape Manager is key role responsible in supporting delivery of the day to day application and infrastructure services according to the agreed Service Levels and/or Operate Level Agreements ensuring business continuity. The role also requires review of applications functionality / landscape for continuousimprovement . The role requires frequent engagement with business and product teams in Shell’s global integratedGas & Power solutions. Provides an opportunityto work on wide scale of applications developed in new technologies like Azure data functions and Market standard products that brings competitive advantage to the trading.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • End to End responsible for IT operationsensuringkey KPIs (e.g. Critical Service Levels, Key Measures) are upheld and act as escalation point for operations issues
  • Act as business functional and technical expertise - Maintain in-depth knowledge of the business, processes, applications, information and data associated with the portfolio.
  • Operation review including analyses on effectiveness of current application & service portfolio in supporting business processes (business value and costs), identification of common characteristics to drive rationalization and simplification of the portfolio
  • Partnering with the Business Leads and IT product managers to co-create IT operations roadmap, scope and prioritize backlog, customer needs , periodic reviews of IT Solution, dependencies etc.
  • Actively participate and support in IT operations governance meetings.
  • Drive the compliance and audit activities for the applications in the landscape.
  • Managing the supplier relationships for IT operations and inputs into the Roadmap.
  • Track Operation cost and assist in budgeting

What we need from you?

  • Skills & Requirements:
  • 8 to 14 years of experience of corporate IT experience
  • Technical skills in .NET , Azure Data Factory , data brick , CI/CD  Familiarity with any reporting tools like BI. Ability to pick new technologies
  •  Knowledge in trading domain( Gas & Power)  will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes or another similar toolset

Dimensions:

  • Strong IT management, business partnering, forming relationships, stakeholder management, analysis and problem-solving skills, good communication skills
  • Working and understanding of trading lifecycle of the Trading process - from trade capture, through scheduling the commodity for delivery. Learn about trade exchanges
  • Adapt to emerging technologies in data analysis and decisions platform.
