Sr. Specialist – TSA

The Role

  • This job profile has two dimensions i.e. one as the main focal responsible for STR TB2F process and second towards responsible for LCF desks Settlements;
  • Currently, this role will not have any direct report under it but depending on the business growth in future, this role may require to supervise a small team
  • Systems:   DEX, SAP, Black line
  • The role demands extensive coordination to drive process/WoW improvement with multiple stakeholders considering Bio tickets is an evolving area & may demand working hours stretch in the initial periods.

Purpose and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for financial close activities for T2F activities for WONA Trading STR entity along with managing Settlement of LCF desk deals during the month while ensuring Accounting treatment of all new business deal scenarios are adequately documented; 
  • Responsible to operate Key RDS Sox control around Stock management & also to ensure that all related controls sitting with Business are executed properly;
  • Responsible to drive expected correct WoW with all stakeholders & track issues clearly to resolve them permanently;
  • Responsible to analyse working capital data for engagements with stakeholders inc Senior management
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Trading, Commercial Operations, Financial Reporting, and Finance Operations to ensure requirements and expectations as well as issues are captured, understood and acted upon in a timely manner; keep abreast of new and changing business/markets.
  • Constant view to improve systems and processes with an aim towards elimination of manual data capture, improving reconciliation capabilities and continuing down the path of straight through processing.
  • Work with and support the wider team to ensure accuracy of the Financial Statements through timely and accurate recognition of expenses and revenue.
  • To approve Payment batches as per the MOA & adhered to related controls/compliance;
  • Additional responsibilities include project management, system upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and testing.
  • Support implementation of new business/projects and associated system/process changes.
  • To provide extensive support in IGPC reconciliation process during quarter ends and support team when its required.
  • To provide backup to another team leads in WONA C&P as & when required.
  • Periodic review and update of WI and exceptions list to ensure all the process exception and changes are captured and documented.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with wide range of stakeholders (internal and external to the Trading Business)
  • To support TM in review of Overdue situation within LCF and ensure timely debt collections.
  • Support any new migration in the process with understanding the actual requirements.
  • To lead the team for ensuring achievement of Strategic, Managerial & Operational KPIs.
  • Review and challenge existing manual processes to ensure maximum benefit from the CI initiatives

Requirements

Whilst the role will require a strong technical skill profile, this position is a superb development opportunity for an individual with aspirations to grow in Shell.   • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent related business degree is preferred;
  • Prior experience in Trade Books to Finance domain especially in Emissions area; working knowledge in DEX & Trading SAP >4 yrs is a must;
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently while under pressure and with competing priorities
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, on need basis to stretch during the month/quarter end finance closure;
  • Experience of implementing and improving financial and operational processes
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Good influencer with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work with a ‘one team mindset’ i.e., offshore, and onshore together.
