SIG Dublin are looking for high performing students to join our Quantitative Strategist Summer internship. This Internship is the perfect opportunity for people interested in exploring a quantitative role in one of the world’s leading quantitative trading firms. The internship is a 10 week program that gives an insight into what a career in Trading and Quantiative Strategy can be.
Working from our modern and fun office in Dublin’s city centre, this could be the first step of your career in a Quantitative Strategy. Our inhouse education program is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. We have a team of senior traders focused full time on your development which we truly believe sets us apart from other firms. We’ll start from the basics, so don’t worry if you have no experience or prior finance knowledge, we’ll teach you!
You will work closely with experienced quantitative traders both in the classroom and on the trading desk. Each of our interns get a real-world trading problem to work on and will be paired with a mentor on one of our trading desks. There’ll be a wide variety of projects to suit the diverse skillset of our interns. Your work has the potential to impact the trading desk immediately and we encourage you to share your ideas and thoughts with our traders.
Who You Are:
A Problem Solver. You enjoy solving puzzles, and love it when you discover a solution to difficult problems. You enjoy discussing ideas and working with others to find the optimal solution.
A Passion for Data Analytics. Exploring large sets of data is something you enjoy. You're skilled in finding patterns and trends in big data that others may not see.
Ambitious. You’re someone that enjoys setting personal goals, and give your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics or another passion you have, you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
A Coder: You're a fluent programmer and have significant experience coding, not just for school work, but in previous work experience or in personal projects.
A Communicator. You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with. You enjoy sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts and listening to the views of others.
Numerical & Logical. When it comes to decision making, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational, and like to use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions.
3rd or 4th year Student: Successful interns are invited back as graduates to join the Quantitative Trader Programme (our full time graduate programme). Depending on when you graduate, you’ll be invited to join the QT Programme in either January or August, 2025.

We organise weekly social activities during the summer for our interns and we’ll also provide summer interns, who aren’t from Dublin, with accommodation for the duration of the internship.
Our Summer Internship is 10 weeks, and runs from late June to late August.
