Overview

Throughout its history SIG has been a key part of the growth of ETFs through providing liquidly across U.S. and European markets. As a leading liquidly provider SIG provides prices in almost every listed European ETF and maintains strong relationships with the major ETF providers.

 

As an ETF Pricing Analyst, you will join a highly motivated ETF Pricing team to directly support and be a part of the ETF Trading Desk. The ETF Pricing team are a critical function in creating fair values and managing primary market activities across both Equity and Fixed Income. This involves having a strong understanding of the product and utilising proprietary tools to ensure accurate pricing in addition to actively seeking out arbitrage opportunities. As a “product specialist”, you will be responsible for fielding queries both internally and externally regarding ETFs and will work closely with the Operations and Technology departments to help drive efficiencies in our trading activities.

 

With this role you will be joining a fast-growing team as someone who is highly motivated and excited about driving the profitability of SIG’s European ETF business forward.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide live ETF pricing from portfolio composition files and NAVs using proprietary trading tools.
  • Research and advise on index methodology and impactful corporate actions.
  • Manage and maintain the primary market infrastructure to ensure accurate execution of primary market orders.
  • Support the internal sales and trading teams on all aspects of ETFs (both Secondary and Primary).
  • Maintain strong relationships with external ETF Capital Markets teams and brokers.
  • Interact with various internal IT and Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems as they happen.
  • Development of new applications– primarily in the area of pricing and trading using Python and SQL.

  • Strong interest in Financial Markets
  • Previous programming experience in Python.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, not afraid to ask questions and use own initiative.
  • Strong communicator (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills; including effective troubleshooting in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
  • 3rd level degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or a STEM discipline. 
  • Previous exposure to a trading environment is desirable, but not essential.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Exposure to MS Access and SQL an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role a plus, but not essential
