Who We Are
At SIG, we understand that technology is critical to the success of our business. In this role, you will get to work with the latest technologies in our multi-vendor enterprise environment consisting of more than 11000 servers, 2000 network devices, 150 firewalls, and over 100PB of storage. You will partner with our engineering, development, and business teams to build solutions that drive the next generation of monitoring & SDLC solutions at SIG.

 

You will have an opportunity to use, maintain, support and improve our enterprise monitoring, management, and automation (MMA) systems. As part of our MMAS team, you will participate in delivering solutions for server monitoring, network device monitoring, server provisioning, job scheduling, troubleshooting, big data mining, and general support. Our management and automation systems include Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) solutions for developers at SIG including continuous integration software build systems, software packaging and deployment systems, source control systems, issue tracking systems, building and deploying core reusable components, and more.

 

This role includes support of 3rd party & proprietary software as well as creation of automation scripts expanding or creating custom solutions based in a variety of technical stacks including Bash, Powershell, Python, and more. Our vendor and open source systems include Elasticsearch, Grafana, Nagios, Gitlab, Teamcity, OctopusDeploy, and more. You will take part in evangelizing and implementing the latest technology, focusing on site reliability and development operations.

What we're looking for
  • 0-5 years of progressive experience in distributed systems development, systems administration, and/or automation
  • Basic understanding of operating system fundamentals
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell or Python for example) and server deployment tools experience required
  • Experience in Linux or Windows systems administration – work in a medium to large-enterprise server environment is a plus
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite tools is a plus
  • Experience in enterprise ticketing software is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
