JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Credit Analyst to join our team, working in close collaboration with a London-based trader to identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the European and Asian convertible bond markets.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting deep-dive credit fundamental analysis on a wide range of issuers to assess default risk and overall creditworthiness. Your insights will play a critical role in shaping real-time trading decisions and portfolio construction.


This role requires direct interaction with the trader, offering a unique opportunity to have a tangible and immediate impact on investment outcomes. In addition, you will work closely with local Equity Capital Markets (ECM) teams to evaluate potential new issuances in the convertible space.

 

This role can be based from our Hong Kong, Shanghai or London office.

 

What you will do:

  • Perform in-depth credit analysis of companies across Europe and Asia.
  • Assess credit risk and develop investment theses based on fundamental research.
  • Collaborate directly with the London-based trader to provide timely, actionable insights.
  • Monitor market developments, earnings, and other credit events.
  • Engage with local ECM teams to analyze and reverse upcoming convertible bond issuances.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of credit models and internal databases.

What we're looking for
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-4 years of professional experience in financial markets, with a focus on credit analysis in European and Asian markets.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Strong background in credit research or credit analysis, preferably with exposure to convertible bonds.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and credit metrics.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, trading-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies and functions.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills (especially Cantonese) are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and receive training in the US and London in the first year of joining.
  • Ability to work autonomously from the base office location after the initial training period
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with a trading environment and derivative products preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problems.
  • Willingness to work additional and flexible hours when necessary.
