Job Summary

 

As a part of our continued expansion in its technology organization, Targray is seeking to hire a Lead QA engineer to drive and own the QA processes, practices and improvements in software QA processes/tooling.

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Will own the software quality assurance function for Targray’s IT delivery that covers:
    • All QA automation testing frameworks of APIs, UI automation testing.
    • All QA testing (manual and automation) scope.
  • Manage the QA team.
  • Own defining and delivering the QA process improvements and automation.
  • While Targray builds it’s QA organization this Lead position can grow into a QA manager role.
  • He/she should carry out manual testing as well as create automated test scripts (can be Cypress using Cucumber BDD).
  • Help CIO to hire and build the QA testing and automation team.
  • This is a hands on position that will involve test case creation, testing and developing automation scripts and as the organization grows will be a hybrid role (hands on + QA team management).
  • The ideal candidate will closely work with the rest of the technology organization to coordinate project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead QA engineer to grow into a QA manager position.

 

Requirements

 

  • Around 10-12 years of hands on experience in quality assurance including automation and manual testing.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in managing QA team of around 5 and is seeking to step up driving automation and QA management.
  • Experience in executing QA plans for different parallel projects, managing and scheduling QA team for different projects.
  • Carried out QA planning and estimations. 
  • Experience in driving automation and QA efficiency improvement projects.
  • Experience in holding a senior or lead QA engineer role in driving automated test strategy, execution and delivery of automation testing in a reputed organization.
  • Detailed hands on expertise in developing test automation suites using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, SoapUI etc. spanning API testing, web UI testing, thick client testing, integration and component testing.
  • Deep knowledge and a practitioner in Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development techniques and tools.
  • Must be a strong team player and should be able to work with different locations in Asia, Europe and America.
  • Knowledge in application architectures, application, infrastructure (Linux, Windows) and database deployments (MS SQL, Oracle, My SQL) is required to understand and appreciate the complexities of systems.
  • Experience in working in agile delivery model and knowledge in Agile methodologies
  • Should be a self-starter and a leader which is essential in driving the creation of a test tooling and automation as well as QA process improvements.
