Senior Software Developer

Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an accomplished engineer to join our Historical Market Data division in Hong Kong/Shanghai/Singapore.

Tower runs a number of successful automated trading strategies in many electronic securities markets worldwide. The Historical Market Data division is responsible for various aspects of the historical market data pipeline and exchange simulator software.


Responsibilities

The Senior Software Developer, Historical Market Data will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining applications for collecting, processing and delivering historical market data
  • Producing derived market data sets
  • Optimizing historical market data storage, organization and delivery
  • Market data characterization, quality checks, and metadata creation

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Python and python integration skills
  • Binary formats and data compression
  • Previous market data processing experience
  • Previous work experience in a high frequency trading environment
  • Strong knowledge of modern software development practices
  • Experience with large scale data projects and distributed computing
  • Experience with cloud based technologies
  • Analytical skills
  • C++ knowledge is a nice to have
