Senior Software Engineer - Finance and HR Technology

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks experienced Software Developers for our Finance and HR team. This individual will play a key role in contributing to Tower's Finance and HR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Building the next-generation of Finance and HR platform at Tower
  • Partnering with Finance, HR support and developers across multiple regions in that respect 
  • Helping raising the bar on operations so:
  • Diagnosing and fixing bugs on existing production systems
  • Working closely with end users to understand their needs and providing technical expertise

Qualifications

  • 5+ years working in a fast paced environment, including diagnosing and resolving production issues working for a global team
  • 5+ years of experience working as a fullstack developer 
    • Backend: mastering at least Python or Java
    • Frontend: experience with JavaScript and one of the common frameworks (React or Vue.js)
    • Database: at least 2 years experience working with SQL (ie. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Proven experience in leadership
  • Architecture and design experience is a plus
  • Finance/accounting knowledge is a plus, interest in it a must have
  • Experience with Oracle cloud Finance or Workday is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
