Uniper seeks a Director of Gas Fundamentals Research to join its North American team

Your responsibilities
Develop internal views on North American regional gas markets guided by supply & demand balances
Delivery of timely and accurate analysis in response to fast-changing market dynamics
Guide and support development of analytical team
Creation of regular fundamental reports around markets and assets to support trading decisions
Deliver regular research updates on market dynamics
Collaborate with other analysts & structuring team to improve deal valuation & drive strategic origination
Collaborate with Uniper colleagues covering global markets to refine long-term views
Manage requests from multiple internal stakeholders and prioritize workflow according to business needs
Establish & maintain high standards of professionalism and quantitative rigor
Your profile
Degree in quantitative field or equivalent work experience
5-10 years of experience with in depth understanding of North American gas markets, preferably in a trading environment
Experience with gas pipeline nomination data
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to create detailed, accurate, and defensible models
Commercially minded with ability to readily identify market opportunities
Must have strong work ethic and self-discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
Proficiency with SQL & Python or other programming language a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Should be a self-starter, adaptive and versatile, able to work effectively in a team setting
Able to prioritize tasks based on potential commercial impacts under aggressive deadlines
