Commercial Operations Intern
Uniper seeks a Commercial Operations Intern to join its North American team for Summer 2023!

What we are looking for
Assist with reconciling and confirming daily exchange trades, margin, OTC trades, and broker fees
Back up other team members as necessary with settlement & confirmation processes for power & gas transactions, OTC counterparties, and exchanges
Coordinate with other departments on process & control improvements
Support global Uniper business initiatives and ad-hoc projects
Assist with accounts payable, payment tracking, employee expenses, and vendor information
Who we are seeking
Pursuing a degree in Business, Math, Finance, Economics, or related field
0-2 of working in an energy trading organization in a finance or operations role
Experience with/knowledge of US gas and power markets
Good communication and organizational skills
Customer Service - the role serves a number of customers and working proactively to relay information and meet customer needs is a key driver of business success
Problem Solving – the business relies on numbers and identifying problems and rectifying them is critical to the success of the business and the individual
