Support Engineer

What You’ll Do:
As Support Engineer, you will join our interdisciplinary team and act as the primary point of contact to our users on their requests and incidents related to IT and trading systems. In addition, you will create tools, monitoring systems, and automation to ensure these problems are not repeated and to bolster the smooth operation of trading systems and infrastructure that power our trading activities in financial markets. Further, you will manage and deploy technology assets in our office, trading floor, and data centers. As an integral member of an aggressive and nimble IT team, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenging problems in programming, networking and technology. 
What You’ll Need:
  • Degree in STEM or a strong foundation in computers and programming
  • Experience troubleshooting application and OS level issues (Windows and Linux)
  • Solid understanding of operating systems and network architectures
  • Experience in building, deploying and maintaining desktops and servers
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a keen attention to structure, detail and tidiness
  • Ability to navigate desktop and command line environments
  • Strong documentation mentality
  • Solid coding skills (Ruby, PowerShell, Bash, Python, C#)
  • Ability to handle shift in priorities and operate under time pressure
  • Comfort resolving uncertainty and communicating for issue resolution
  • A client-focused, service-minded approach to problem solving
  • Relevant industry experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
