Legal and Compliance Intern (Summer 2024)
Wolverine Trading (a prominent Chicago-based derivatives trading firm) is seeking a undergraduate (Senior) and/or a second or third year law student for a summer associate positions with the potential for a full-time position after graduation.
What You Will Do:
Research Exchange rules, Federal Securities Laws, case precedent, and their applicability to electronic and floor-based trading
Prepare written memos related to research projects
Review automated exception reports and document findings
Assist in preparing regulatory correspondence
Contract review and other in-house legal work
Perform some data queries and analysis of Firm trading activity
Complete our proprietary trading course given to all new traders and engineers at the firm
What We're Looking For:
A demonstrable interest in trading and financial services
A desire to practice in the legal and compliance area in a financial services firm
Strong academics, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new projects
Candidate will have some knowledge of U.S. financial markets, securities laws, and regulations
