Senior Accountant
WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. The Role: The Finance organization is responsible for the accounting and financial management, as well as the control environment, for WorldQuant on a global basis. The team works closely with line managers, local accounting groups and advisors/consulting firms for affiliated offices around the world.
Manage financial operations of all US multi-state offices
Analyze and process accounts payable and all other financial activity
Assist with completion of global consolidated audit
Analyze company ledger accounts actual to budget, month over month, and annual trends
Become a knowledge center for all US financial activity and expense policies
Assist with project management activities, including development and maintenance of project schedules, tracking and mitigating risks, and communicating project status and quality targets
Maintain documentation, assist in efficiency initiatives for new business processes, construct workflow charts and diagrams
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Advanced Excel skills are required and will be evaluated as part of the interview process
4+ years of relevant experience, including audits
Able to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Prior exposure in a multinational workforce culture is a plus
Knowledge of Workday general ledger and human resource system is a plus
Self-motivated and takes initiative with minimal direction
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Effective time management skills
