The Role: Options Risk Manager, reporting to Head of Risk
Complement a top tier team of experts across portfolio management, alpha research, tech, risk and execution in order to build a scalable and successful options trading business. The Options Risk Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to the build-out of this business by developing the tools and systems required to monitor, manage and analyze the risk associated with the various systematic options strategies that will be developed over the years. The individual will also be tasked with enforcing trader risk and capital allocation guidelines and do so in a cerebral and tactful manner.
Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following)
Contribute towards the platform build-out of a new systematic options trading business
Develop an options risk platform that would integrate with our existing enterprise risk management processes and controls
Develop tools focused on both pre- and post-trade risk analytics as well as monitoring and alerting tools
Integrate pre-trade controls
Develop post trade risk metrics that are meaningful and actionable
Daily risk monitoring of the systematic options trading business
What You’ll Bring:
Seven or more years of experience across risk management and trading of listed options
Experience in risk management of options strategies, with expertise in single stock equity options and systematic option strategies
Previous trading experience of options strategies is preferred
Technical background and coding skills. Preferably Linux/Python environment or R, Matlab etc
Focus on listed options, with a preference for single stock options and equity index options
Deep knowledge of options pricing and risk models with experience in building or supporting options risk platforms
Strong understanding of multi-asset quantitative strategies and the array of risks associated with running such portfolios
Experience building tools and reporting for risk or trading
Degree in a quantitative or technical field(Comp Science, Engineering, Math, Stats, ML)
Ability to effectively and proactively communicate risk related concerns to CEO, CIO and other members of senior management
Excellent problem solving abilities and judgment with strong attention to detail
Mature and thoughtful, with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture

WorldQuant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits. The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer we will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
