Position Specific Description
Renewable fuels are critical to decarbonizing the economy, and NextEra Energy Inc., through its NextEra Energy Marketing subsidiary, is deploying significant capital and resources to build the leading renewable fuels business in North America. NextEra Energy Marketing is seeking motivated energy visionaries to join this exciting and growing business!
NextEra Energy Marketing’s leading position in North American environmental markets enables the team to place the renewable fuels and environmental attributes in the highest value market. We have over 30 operating renewable fuels assets across the U.S., and work closely with our robust physical natural gas, power, and fully staffed 24-hour desks to manage physical flows from our facilities. NextEra is an expert in low cost renewables, with in-house development capabilities and a competitive cost of capital. The Senior Origination Analyst will be asked to work cross-functionally to structure and originate both equity and offtake transactions to help accelerate the growth of the renewable fuels business for NextEra Energy Marketing.
Job Duties:
Analyzes and develops different structures for the customer including risk mitigation solutions to ensure risks are appropriately managed and quantified
Oversees, guides, and negotiates the contract and related documents that will be signed between the Company and the counterparty
Prepares presentations and other internal communications for senior leadership to guide and support the internal vetting process
Presents deal to senior leadership, seeking approval of the proposed deal structure
Qualifications:
The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the “back office” support to the “front office” to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.
