What you’ll do:
Optiver's Amsterdam trading floor is one of the most dynamic and exciting in Europe. As our Execution Trader, you will become the link to our external trading partners in the inter-dealer broker (IDB) market. You will utilise our trading strategies, but also have responsibility for maintaining key international relationships. This means you must be a people person and master at building and maintaining relationships. It's a role that requires excellent EQ and the ability to successfully multitask under pressure.
Your primary area of responsibility will be facilitating non-screen-based trade requests from our network of brokers. With your excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, no opportunity will get past you. With the support of experienced Execution Traders, you’ll oversee end-to-end trades, crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's on a deal. Our standing as a direct price provider will be in your very capable hands, and we'll give you the freedom and trust to grow this rapidly scaling area of the business.
Who you are:
- Either a final year student, recent graduate, a Trader or Broker with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- You have a high EQ and superior interpersonal skills, along with the ability to positively influence outcomes
- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have the ability to work well under pressure
- You are detailed oriented
- You thrive making fast decisions and handling a high volume of trades – often simultaneously
- You have an academic degree
