Equity Delta-1 Trader

Optiver is looking to grow it's presence in the Equity Delta One space. We have an existing operation present in the European and US index and equity market, but see opportunity to grow this in the coming years alongside our derivatives businesses. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact this expansion in a collaborative environment, leveraging your experience in this space. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • You will be part of an existing team based in Amsterdam, which specializes in flow and prop trading in Baskets, Synthetics, TRFs and Dividends across the equity and index products
  • You are helping to build out the desk further in terms of depth (refining our prop and flow trading strategies further) and/or scope (expand further into US index, EU & US equity, financing optimisation)

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 3+ years of work experience with a Delta One desk or pod in a leading bank or fund
  • Sound understanding of the risk-reward of different prop strategies in this space. You have strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the Equity Delta One landscape and market structure. You can leverage your previous relationships in a new environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to take ownership in order to develop and grow the desk further in depth and/or scope
  • The ability to communicate clearly, think independently and work collaboratively
