Compensation Analyst

As a member of the HR Team at PEAK6, The Compensation Analyst will have a big impact on the firm.  You’ll leverage your strategic and hands-on Compensation experience and knowledge to help us build and elevate our Compensation programs for over 1300 employees across the organization.  Additionally, you’ll bring vision and value to our organization and employees, in a rapidly growing environment and team.  Our success brings us unique challenges - join us as we build innovative and creative solutions! 

You’ll be responsible for conducting analysis and interpretation related to Peak6 compensation programs by:

  • Supporting the Compensation Manager on program administration including but not limited to: broad base compensation, variable pay, end of year compensation planning, and equity plan administration
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HRBP partners as the first point of contact on compensation matters including market pricing new and existing jobs
  • Acting as integral partner in annual compensation review by ensuring the tools and data are accurate for all of PEAK6 entities
  • Supporting participation in salary surveys with Pay Factors for market pricing
  • Determining FLSA job classification
  • Conducting market analysis of PEAK6 jobs to determine competitive positioning of our pay programs
  • Auditing employee pay and recommend reviews when necessary
  • Reviewing and updating internal guidelines and procedures in relation to pay
  • Providing analytical support in the implementation of compensation projects and initiatives
  • Participating in annual salary administration programs including salary structure maintenance while managing and updating the job structure
  • Supporting the creation and implementation of compensation education programs to help managers and employees understand our compensation philosophy and programs
  • Acting as system administrator for Pay Factors and Secure Sheet

 You’ll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:

  • 1+ years of compensation experience, including market pricing and annual salary reviews
  • Experience with HRIS reporting and data management desired 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Flexibility to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
  • Strong communication and organization skills, and commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to help manage multiple tasks at once, prioritize accordingly and maintain attention to detail
  • The ability to track and analyze data and report data in a clear, organized format
