Summary

As a Communications and People Solutions (HR) team member, the communications specialist will create, distribute, and maintain communications across various internal and external channels. This candidate will have the opportunity to learn about and support fast-paced businesses across varied industries and grow as a communications professional. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Draft communications that support PEAK6’s internal communications strategy.
  • Maintain the firm’s internal content calendar. 
  • Manage PEAK6’s social media accounts and develop posts for regular distribution.
  • Partner with the marketing team to support the execution and distribution of employee resource group and philanthropy communications. 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert of PEAK6’s intranet portal and support portfolio business questions and requests. 
  • Support large-scale change management campaigns by creating job aids and other training materials.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in managing a company’s social media presence. 
  • Knowledge of intranet portals and project management tools.
  • Background in supporting internal communication initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Superior organization and planning skills.
  • Adept at working proactively and independently.

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a communications or marketing position.
