We’re seeking an innovative, passionate, and forward-thinking individual to join us as a Support Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team with the urgency of a startup and expertise of an established organization. Due to the space we innovate in, your products will process billions of transactions per day in real-time and power both startup and established industry participants.

What you'll do all day:

  • Work with the Apex Crypto Operations and Engineering to support daily trading and systems operations
  • Coordinate with our customers when functional or technical questions are raised
  • Responsible for adhering to and updating written support, runbook, and supervisory procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to support the successful onboarding of new customers
  • Work with third party vendors that integrate with the Apex Crypto platform
  • Increase observability of the platform so that it can be better supported

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 2+ years of work experience, preferably in a relevant securities-related field
  • Strong interest in the financial markets and the technologies that support them
  • Risk-focused and not afraid to raise issues and escalate appropriately
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience using and supporting various monitoring and visualization tools
  • Strong scripting comprehension with Bash or Python
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Exposure to Kubernetes
  • Exposure to IAC tools e.g. Terraform
  • Experience with Git/Code repositories
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to demonstrate good judgment and prioritization in a multi-task environment
  • Working knowledge of securities (Equities, Options, FX, Bonds)
  • Working knowledge of the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Protocol
  • Ability to work a 10:00AM-6:30PM PT Monday-Friday schedule to support our 24/7 platform
  • As part of our interview process, you will meet with members of both our Belfast and US offices.
